Cancellation Policy

Cancellations only take effect once written notice has been received.

Cancellation charges will apply as set out on the invoice whenever a traveller cancels a confirmed booking. If a traveller fails to take up their booking or tour, joins it after departure, or leaves before it finishes, no refund or credit will be given. Please note that many of the services and accommodation we arrange are provided by third parties who have their own cancellation policies, which may differ from ours and which travellers must comply with.

Golfing Trips, along with its representatives, employees and agents, accepts no responsibility for any costs or losses incurred by the traveller, their dependants or travelling companions in connection with, but not limited to, any of the situations described above. Travellers who are not carrying appropriate insurance cover may be billed directly by the relevant service providers for any emergency assistance required, or may be unable to access such services at all.

General

The transport, meals, entrance fees, accommodation and other facilities and services provided under any booking or package are limited to those specifically set out in the itinerary the traveller contracted for. Each package requires transport, meals, entrance fees, accommodation and/or other facilities and services to be arranged. Unless a client gives specific instructions otherwise, Golfing Trips does not exercise direct day-to-day control over its suppliers and therefore accepts no responsibility for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, irregularity or inconvenience caused by a defect in equipment used by a supplier, or by any act, omission or negligence of a supplier or its employees or agents.

Golfing Trips is not liable for any loss, damage or expense of any kind suffered by a traveller arising from lost or damaged property, cancellation or shortening of a tour, illness, quarantine, weather conditions, war, strikes, riots, or any other cause whatsoever.

Provided it has not been negligent, Golfing Trips accepts no liability for the death of, or injury, loss or damage to, any person or property arising from any act or omission of Golfing Trips, its suppliers, or any of their employees or agents. Travellers are deemed to have waived and given up any rights they may otherwise hold under United Kingdom law in respect of such loss or damage.

Provided it has not been negligent, Golfing Trips is not liable for any loss, damage or expense arising where illness or an accident interrupts a tour, and no refund — full or partial — will be given in such cases.

Travellers are solely responsible for meeting the requirements of police, customs, immigration, health and other authorities on arrival, departure and in transit, in every country visited. While Golfing Trips will try to provide travellers with up-to-date information on such regulations before departure, it accepts no liability for any inaccuracies or omissions in that information.

Golfing Trips reserves the right to refuse or remove any traveller from a group or tour at any time where amounts owed by that traveller remain unpaid, or where the traveller disrupts other members of the group or causes a disturbance or nuisance. Golfing Trips also reserves the right to seek payment from a traveller for their travel arrangements if the relevant amounts were not settled before the travel date.

All information in Golfing Trips’ brochures, websites, itineraries and price materials is believed to be accurate, but Golfing Trips accepts no liability for any inaccuracies it may contain.

All travel arrangements booked by Golfing Trips — including hotel accommodation, motor transport and similar services — are subject to the relevant supplier’s own booking conditions and cancellation terms.

Golfing Trips reserves the right to change or substitute routes, refreshments, meals, accommodation, itineraries, tours, services, vehicles and other arrangements where circumstances require. Where possible, substitutes of equivalent value will be offered.

Where Golfing Trips considers that completing a tour has become impossible, illegal, or inadvisable due to weather, avalanches, strikes, war, government interference or any other cause not arising from its own negligence, it may cancel the tour (or any remaining part of it) or alter the route, accommodation, price or other arrangements as it sees fit. Any resulting losses or expenses will be borne by the traveller.

Delays: Golfing Trips cannot be held responsible for delays or extra costs arising from airlines failing to run to schedule.

Baggage: For safety reasons and due to limited space, baggage on light charter aircraft is generally limited to a maximum of 12kg per person in a soft bag, including camera equipment and carry-on items.

Disabled travellers: Golfing Trips is happy to advise on suitable holiday options, but many destinations we feature do not have lifts or ramps.

Passports and visas: It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure their passport is valid for travel and that they hold valid visas and any required health certificates for every country being visited. Golfing Trips, its staff and agents accept no liability for visas not obtained by the traveller before departure, or any costs arising from this.

Departure taxes: Some airports and countries charge departure taxes that must be paid in cash on departure and cannot be prepaid, often in US dollars. Responsibility for making these payments rests with the traveller.

Health: It is the traveller’s responsibility to obtain all vaccinations and inoculations required for the countries being visited. Many destinations across Africa and the Indian Ocean are malaria areas, and travellers should consult their doctor before departure to ensure appropriate anti-malarial precautions are taken and followed.

Wildlife: Many lodges in Africa are unfenced and located in areas inhabited by wild animals. While attacks are rare, they cannot be ruled out entirely. Neither Golfing Trips nor its employees or agents can be held liable for any injury or incident occurring within a wildlife area.

Golfing Trips is not bound by any representation, warranty or promise that is not recorded in these terms or otherwise agreed to in writing by one of its directors.

No addition, variation or agreed cancellation of these conditions has any force or effect unless made in writing and signed by a director of Golfing Trips.

Any leniency Golfing Trips may extend to a party does not amount to a waiver of its rights, and does not prevent Golfing Trips from later exercising any rights against the traveller that have arisen, or may arise, at any time.

Any claim or dispute between a traveller and Golfing Trips, including claims for loss or damage arising from injury to a person or property, will be resolved by arbitration under the laws of the United Kingdom.

Where recourse to the courts becomes necessary, the courts of the United Kingdom have sole jurisdiction, to the exclusion of the courts of any other country, and United Kingdom law will apply.

In these Terms and Conditions, the singular includes the plural and vice versa, and references to a natural person include an artificial person and vice versa.
