The Leddie

A 27-room boutique hotel on the main street of Aberlady, right in the middle of East Lothian’s so-called Golf Coast, The Leddie occupies a 17th-century building (formerly Ducks Inn) recently restored with a contemporary Scottish look; mossy greens, soft tartans, warm timber and natural wool. Muirfield is around 10 minutes away, Gullane and Craigielaw practically next door, and North Berwick around 15 minutes by car, with Edinburgh 30–45 minutes down the road. Rooms range from compact “snug” doubles to larger Cottage Suites (plus two pet-friendly cottages), with L’Occitane toiletries, Nespresso machines and robes as standard. The AA Rosette restaurant leans into seasonal Scottish produce, and there’s a relaxed bar plus sun terrace and garden seating for better weather.
